@ShitpostRock2 Dawg, the Youtuber SmithPlaysPokemon LOVES Gen 2 the best. None of his videos are meant to punch down on Gen 2. Smith is just honest about it's flaws and fixed them in his own romhack "Crystal Legacy" (highly recommended if you can stand the ancient Gen 2 graphics).

He said earlier in the book he remembered Marissa from grad school 20 years before, lived on erid 16 years, and 8 years of traveling in space. Had to be 40 at youngest when he launched

@BenStoeger187 The other issue is that I find all guns basically dry fire the same, but actually shoot differently. Love to dry fire my VP9 and hate shooting it because the slide releases keeps hitting my thumb under recoil.

@BenStoeger187 The biggest downside to dry fire is that it doesn’t prepare you to manage recoil. 95% of my training is dry fire, but I need range time to understand how to keep my grip during follow up shots and waiting for the dot/irons to fall back on target.

@DrunkWoodsman @gamestop That's the stuff you've gotta keep. You nephew knows ball. Crazy Taxi was a blast. There was a Simpsons rip off of it that I used to love too.

And thats fine, everyone has their own style of collecting. I still have bookcases filled with all my old bix box pc games from when I was a kid and still boot up the 286 and play commander keen just like I did when I was a kid. Id rather have it and own it then have just a download. The amountnof games I had on Xbox arcade back in the day that are just poof gone now, is sad. Plus physical copies allow a whole new generation to have am appreciation. My nephew comes over and begs to play sonic 2 or crazy taxi, never even bothers touching the Ps5.

@DrunkWoodsman @gamestop I don't really feel the need to buy physical copies of games anymore. I kept all my old ones, but I don't go back and revisit old games the way I do with movies, which is why I still buy Blu-rays. Maybe a merger with Amazon could have saved them but I don't see a path forward.

I think they lost focus, its too easy for people to be on offices not in a market and not see the forest for the trees anymore. Yeah I buy games off steam constantly, but given the open 9 times out of 10 im buying a physical copy of any thing on console (even if its just a glorified download code). The markets still there for real games and a store that caters to such. The Pops and bad tshirts and whatever trendy toy 2 months after its a trend certainly isnt pulling in crowds.

@DrunkWoodsman @gamestop If they could make money off the games they'd be in there. GameStop is a certified, first ballot Childhood Hall of Fame store for me but it is what it is now. I can just buy games directly from my PlayStation.
