@Talking_spurss Whether he's better or not is debatable. But he is for sure more technical that Djed, which is a better fit for RDZ style.

#thfc I think Neco Williams is a class player and offers so much more going forward, but is he better than djed? not too sure

@SkySportsNews Poch has plenty of opportunities to raise those opinions BEFORE the game. He chose instead to wait until afterwards to raise them, when it means absolutely nothing.

Tottenham hold a sell on clause as part of the sale of Oliver Skipp to Leicester. Should he make a permanent move this summer from Leicester, Tottenham may benefit financially.

New - #Everton are moving closer to signing Hayden Hackney from Middlesbrough in a £25m deal. Expectation of a full agreement later this week. Also in story: #Boro hold talks with #lcfc over signing Oliver Skipp but are deterred by £15m price tag telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@v1zzyvisuals @JPercyTelegraph He’s our former academy player and I constantly hear how we’ve not produced anyone since Kane but here we have a player we produced and sold for £26m still being linked with big money moves

A serious summer for #Tottenham consists of buying both future talents and prime players. Defense is built well; rest of the squad should look like this: ST: Marmoush, Tel RW: Kudus, Mbaye LW: Rashford, Odobert CAM: Maddison, Xavi CM: Tonali, Bergvall CM: Fernandes, Gray

@CahairOKane1 Excellent spot on the penalty, would be interesting to see if the keeper spotted it. PS, make RTE get you one of those noise cancelling fluffy microphones to drown out the seagulls 👀😆

@charlieparrish Agreed, Tonali is world class whilst Fernandes has had back to back relegations. Fernandes is MASSIVELY overpriced, considering it's from a relegated team.

Sounds like copium (and might be!) but I do feel Tonali is the more important one for Spurs at this particular moment. He’s a star in his prime who’d thrive and lead under RDZ, and signal to other stars that THFC are a destination. There are other good, young passing midfielders!

Certain transfers just don’t quite feel right from the off. Eze for eg was more an opportunistic Spurs-trying-to-hijack Arsenal one, doomed for many reasons. Going off broad reporting, Fernandes has always seemed to (understandably) prefer Man Utd rn. What’s yer plan b, Spurs!

Clubs need to see value when making a large purchase. Yes, he's an elite midfielder but the age and contract length make his value diminish fairly steeply over the next couple of years. Whilst I don't necessarily agree with it, modern day football when a player reaches 30 he's not as attractive an option for clubs. Obviously there are outliers like Modric as an example, but in general most centre midfielders begin declining as they enter their 30's

Tottenham's window so far consists of a £52m (60m €) outlay for Senesi, Robertson and van Hecke. I'd say that's not having your pants pulled down. Plenty of cash still available as much as it pains you Daniel.

Thank god we no longer have that Baldy Penny-Pincher at the helm. Held us back so so much haggling on deals, for other clubs to swoop in. And for the stadium being his legacy? That was 1BILLION over budget. Hamstringing Spurs for decades with the associated debt. Good riddance!

Ben Foster has said former #THFC chairman Daniel Levy messaged Simon Jordan to point out how supposedly Brighton have pulled Spurs’ pants down on a player that was out of contract next year…😳 I think it’s probably fair to say if Levy was still at the helm, he wouldn’t have paid £50M for Van Hecke. ❌😬

So here we have an official at the World Cup in the US literally holding up the complete match with his arm in the air, not for injuries, not for football reasons, but because the TV network hasn’t finished selling their ads. At this point, it’s not a match anymore, it’s a broadcast schedule with a ball occasionally rolling around. A World Cup official stopping play mid-game so the broadcasters can finish their commercials. Nothing says “beautiful game” like football taking orders from an ad break. It’s not a sport at that point,it’s a TV product with a pitch attached. Imagine watching a World Cup match where the referee is told to wait because the commercials aren’t done yet. That’s not football, that’s a glorified ad break pretending to be a sporting event. Just some meaningless content between commercial slots.

With the greatest respect, we need to stop putting Bergvall and Gray to the forefront of our minds. Big clubs don't wait around for prospects to turn good. They are given opportunities, and it's up to them to take it to show they are good enough to come along for the ride. If not, then all the best to them and move onto the next.

However, if the idea is Spurs sign Tonali instead of Palhinha, and still sign someone who plays forward and conducts moves, that changes everything although id really hope Gray and Bergvall are still valued by the club and at least one is given a high level loan

Out of interest, what is it in games like these that make people say “pay whatever it takes”? Or is it just the dopamine of a big potential transfer? Okay, two goals, one of them a beautiful strike, but you’re not signing tonali for his goals. So what does he do that makes people so excited?

@Lilywhite_Rose His value is what other clubs would be willing to pay - which won't be much. Anything between 10-20m is where I would see it at, would hope Spurs include a % sell on clause
