Great character critical thinking in @IB_DP Psych as my seniors applied content from the 2 year course to analyse the cognitive and behavioural patterns of their favourite film characters. Fun way to prep for exams and makes me want to rewatch #ForrestGump @gems_daa

Powerful conversations to end the week in Intro Psych as we explored the neuroscience of the teenage brain. Students read a @TIME article and shared in breakout rooms and @padlet to explore what adults can learn about teenage behaviour by looking at their brains. @gems_daa

Grade 9 History students explored the relationship between 'place and identity' as we began our unit on #UAE social studies. A @NatGeo video about changes in the middle east served as a provocation to some outstanding conversations to begin this #inquiry unit. @gems_daa

To test the Working Memory Model, students tried to solve math problem in 2 conditions in @IB_DP Psych and then analysed the results. Condition 1: Silence Condition 2: Whitney Houston Fun. @gems_daa

Our @IB_DP Psych students had a wonderful Q&A session with Dr. David Reid. Dr. Reid is the President-elect of Division 30 of the American Psychological Association and an expert on the usage of hypnosis as a psychological treatment. Huge thanks to Dr. Reid! @gems_daa
