We have more specimens of Centropyge abei in @AustmusResearch and the @calacademy than anywhere else in the world! This is probably the DEEPEST dwelling species of angelfish known, with the deepest depth recorded via ROV at 211 m in the Willis Islet, Coral Sea.

This might not be the most beautiful angelfish, but is a species that I've wanted to photograph for a long time. Perhaps the deeper living angelfish in the world, Centropyge abei lives in western Pacific deep reefs at 140+m depth.
