Post Mortem on PonziMon: Before we start, all of the tech we used is OPEN SOURCE, if you want to do your own, just contact me. You will need some dev skills, but tech is there for anyone and everyone. You can say I’m a “scammer” or whatever but most scammers don’t open source FYI. Anyways… A Few factors led to its demise. But to start I want to adress the good, and the things that did work for people who want to learn from my mistakes. The tax auction worked great. It totally stopped snipers, as it was very weird and on our own site, and new so this helped. It also wasn’t picked up on scanners. It was like old school pump fun, or DAOs or any platform before all the sniping tools(the good Ol’ days) People bought mostly around the 20% tax area, but some smart people bought around 80% and built pools to capture a lot of the volume. This caused the price to show as like 1-2mill, on scanners (even though it started at like 200k market cap). And they made some $$ on the fees and recouped their 80% loss, and team made 80% more and more LP was added. Win win. Then when we moved the LP from our AMM to Metoria (we did this so it would show up properly ) then price when way up. Went from around 200k to Aprox 50Mill. The bad: No stop gap. Like most tokens on Solana there was no stop, once sells happened, people rushed to sell. We had Aprox 500k+ liq and it didn’t matter. This cascade is VERY VERY common on Solana(study). And most traders know this. Fix: we need to save some $$ from the fees and raise to get a “market maker.” This way they will basically sell on behalf of the project to secure the most $$, but then critically re buy the crap out of the lows, thus blowing out the paper hands and running it back. Then using the profit to keep the price more stable. Normally teams do this to pump, and dumb and cause fomo, but I think just doing it transparently (but no one knows the exactly buy/sell times) will help to add a bit of mystique and stop people from selling asap as there might be more juice left in the tank. And yes there is a plan for the continuation of ponzimon, but I don’t all of you will like it. But it’s my fiduciary-meme-duty to try and help your bags even if you don’t get it.
