Under the Bantu Homelands Citizenship Act of 1970, Apartheid stripped all Black of a right to citizenship. The regime said South African citizenship is a right which must be earned and Black South Africans were not worthy of it. They said Blacks were only Worthy of the Bantustans. It is only in 1994 that Black South Africans started receiving international passports as of right. It was African nations like Nigeria, Zambia, Mozambique, Angola , Ghana, that issued passports and citizenship for South Africans to Travel and obtain some ounce of dignity and move overseas. I’ve tried to look at this South Africa issue objectively and carefully and I’ve realized that many South Africans do not actually know who or what they are angry at.
