@Rhys1892 @jac_talbot @CraigHope_DM They didn't really turn up, I mean they got the win but the performance was far from convincing
English

@jac_talbot @Stimp360 @CraigHope_DM Carful the nufc fan who talks to ornestein and player agents says they aren’t playing for him but for some reason they turned up today and got the win
English

⚠️ First comment on the video... Eddie Howe's team selection (to win a game) was "disgraceful & demoralising for the team and fans"
😂 Welcome to 2026... and that won't even be the most ridiculous comment

📺 VIDEO: Ridicule?! That WAS Newcastle's BEST XI... and here is why! 👇 Reflections on a big win for NUFC & a response to those who questioned Eddie Howe's selection 🔗 LINK: youtube.com/watch?v=BvmQH1…

@jac_talbot @CraigHope_DM I don't think there is a Newcastle fan out there that doesn't love Eddie Howe, and what he achieved was Elite, but he has not been an Elite coach for a while now, you can't tell me that you think he's got the maximum out of this squad this season.
English

@CraigHope_DM Replacing Howe is the most short-sighted thing we can do. Recruitment was shambolic in the summer and he needs to step away from that, but as a coach he’s elite
English

@LiamJKennedy23 I hope so, I think confidence is an issue, second half especially the team looked extremely nervous, couldn't string 2 passes together at times.
I don't see what this team is good at at the moment, previously Eddie's teams were all about identity, this one doesn't have one.
English

@Stimp360 Will do wonders for confidence. Created chances. It matters.
English

@caseysean51 If that looks like a player finding their rhythm then the bar is well and truly on the floor.
We might have finally won a game, but that was not a good performance. Eddie has a lot of work to do.
English

@nufcupdates9 @ToonPolls It really depends on the finances and if he's happy to sit on the bench for a season or 2. He's been a good servant to the club, his wishes have to come into it.
English

🚨 NEW: Fabian Schar’s time at #nufc is expected to come to an end this summer. The club want a younger centre-half to challenge Malick Thiaw.
Trippier, Ruddy & Krafth will go. Ramsdale will return to Southampton, whereas with Gillespie it’s less clear.

English

Big chance goes begging for #NUFC.
Wissa onside from Woltemade's chipped pass. Shot goes over the crossbar.
English

@caseysean51 He has 3 less goals in 3 more games than Big Nick. Same assists. I'm not sure he's a success.
English

@caseysean51 This is unfortunately the exact reason Eddie is struggling.Overpaying for this type of player is going to keep the club exactly where it is. If the club wants to progress we have to be looking at spending that money on an up and coming winger,or a promising striker. Not Willock2.0
English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Now that is a stupid comparison. If you were buying a house, you're not going to be told no because the money comes from your rich uncle. In fact cash is better than projected income.
What the prem is saying is you can't buy things in cash.
English

@Stimp360 @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Yeh because revenue belongs to the club.
Newcastle don’t have the finances in place. So you can’t prove you’ve got the finances.
The same reason banks won’t accept mortgage proposals unless you can prove you can pay it.
English

Newcastle United publish 24/25 accounts, when Club won Carabao Cup. 🔑figures
⚽️Total revenue £335m (record) ⬆️5%
⚽️ Commercial revenue £123m (record, adidas deal etc) ⬆️42%
⚽️ Broadcast revenue £161m ⬇️12% (no CL)
⚽️ Wages £243m ⬆️11%
⚽️Average weekly wage £103k
⚽️ Wages/revenue 73% (2024 68%)
⚽️ Amortisation £100m ⬆️3%
⚽️ Underlying loss £107m ⬆️55%
⚽️ Sale of property to group company £129m (perfectly legal and allowed for PSR)
⚽️ Player sale profits £20m ⬇️72%
⚽️Pre tax profit £35m
⚽️Player purchases £40m
⚽️Player sales £29m
⚽️Total cost of squad £581m ⬇️4%
⚽️Shares issued to owners in year £50m
Newcastle would have failed PSR had it not been for the stadium sale to themselves.

English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Why don't you ask all the players that have played for the club. Equal spend doesn't mean unlimited spending, it just means you can spend the same.
Players choose the clubs that give them the best chance of winning. Winning would largely be based on the best run club at the time
English

@Stimp360 @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire No I didn’t say that you had to be a fan to want to play for a club. Why would anyone want to play for Newcastle?
International players or even national players would choose the big clubs over Newcastle , more so with an equal spend cap - that’s the point!
English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire That's not true,if it were about protecting clubs you could easily enforce that teams need to have the finances in place to cover their operating costs
They use revenue because it makes it a closed shop, they even have rules preventing growth,no other industry prevents investment.
English

@Stimp360 @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire “The establishment” , “the cartel”. It’s embarrassing how you try to paint a narrative that you’re the underdogs in everything.
If the Saudis walked away tomorrow, Newcastle as a club would be well and truly fucked. That’s why the regulations were brought in.
English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire You are delusional if you think every player that plays for whoever you support, supported you.
I was just making a point, on your stupid reply.
You seriously think an equal spend cap would mean your team would be full of fans. It makes no sense.
English

@Stimp360 @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire 😂😂😂😂😂 fantastic bit of disillusion right there.
So he had a Newcastle top! What’s your point?? Kids sometimes have shirts with their favourite players on from other teams.
That doesn’t mean he’s going to choose Newcastle over the bigger clubs.
Stay off them drugs 🤡
English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire It's legal because the establishment decided that this was the metric they would use to protect themselves.
You are a fool,I never suggested that we should be able to outspend everyone else,I said we should be allowed to spend the same. Why do you care where the money comes from
English

@andymarstonusa @Stimp360 @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Absolutely this.
All they want to do is move from a system that is based upon sporting merit and organic commercial strength (where it’s legal), to one where it’s just about who has the richest daddy.
It’s ridiculous how they’ve given their arses to state funded sports washing
English

@JacobLuty @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Robert Lewendowski. 👍
Nice try 🤡
It's a bit weird the lengths you lot will go to to protect the establishment.

English

@Stimp360 @andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Your analogy doesn’t work mate. Everything doesn’t just reset itself every season.
Equal spend cap? That’s hilarious because I’ll tell you one thing for sure - nobody outside of Newcastle grows up wanting to play for you. You’re a small club and that will take time to change 🤷🏼♂️
English

@andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Who cares about profit and loss, this is football not accounting wars. You can celebrate being high up on the Delloite money league if you like.
If everyone is allowed to spend the exact same amount how is that not sporting merit?
English
@Stimp360 @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire So you do want to make massive losses every year just because you have a Saudi owner. That doesn’t sound like it would be based on sporting merit does it?
English

@CarbonFePhases @KieranMaguire @nufctrust Wrap it up in a bow and give it back as a gift for Christmas. Then sell it again in the new year. 👍
English

@KieranMaguire @nufctrust Can they sell the ground on again next year? 🤣
English

@andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire It's a bit like having the 100m sprint in the Olympics, but you get to start 20m further forward if you sold the most tickets.
If you don't want another Chelsea and City buying the league, have a equal spend cap for everyone. Its that simple. They won't because fair doesn't matter.
English

@andymarstonusa @AB__1986 @KieranMaguire Why should they be allowed to spend more just because they have bigger commercial departments? It should be based on sporting merit. I dont understand why people think clubs that were big at the turn of the premier league should forever have a sporting advantage.
