Stirling Outdoor Ed

Yesterday we welcomed students from @Stirling_ESO for a centre tour, where we shared the structure and organisational setup of @BlairvadachOEC and @DofEGlasgow. It’s always worth investing time in our potential future workforce, sharing current practice, ideas and opportunities.

Finally, @BlairvadachOEC to meet @BlairvadachNeil & @BlairvadachStew they spoke about the value of residentials, esp in their 50th year, the pros and cons of being in a Local Authority, and how the new Residential Act may impact them. Thanks to all three centres for their time!

Lunchtime we dropped in with Ali Cush, Educ officer for @lomondtrossachs , discussed how agency working and networking is vital in the Park, plus educating park users about responsible behaviour

OUr @StirUni Outdoor Ed students were out in the real world yesterday! Visits to @SOECDounans , Ali Cush from @lomondtrossachs and @BlairvadachOEC to find out more about state of Residential OE and Outdoor Learning in Scotland. Thanks to all three for giving up their time.

Finally to @BlairvadachOEC , with @BlairvadachC - he explained the importance of one instructor working with same group for the week, and the power of a five day residential in inspiring young learners. Big thanks to all 3 providers!

Next, Ali Cush from @lomondtrossachs talked about importance of partnership working & how her work reflected key priorities of the LLTNP - eg Climate Emergency & Water Safety.
