I spoke to $VOR folks briefly. Sad and unfortunate day for them. The decision to shut down was mostly a financial one. It was not possible to fund the clinical work needed to advance the "shielded" AML transplant therapy, based on the totality of the data collected to date. There was no new adverse safety event or any single piece of new data that blew up the program. Not told to me, but sounded like the overall potential of the product wasn't compelling enough given competition and other factors. So, in this terrible market environment, the board reached the conclusion that limping along was not in anyone's best interest. Tough choice to have to make, but the right one.
