4. Undoing the Employer National Insurance hike ↩️ Starmer’s government increased NI paid by businesses from 13.8% to 15% - their largest tax-raising policy 🔺 Burnham said this increase “wasn’t the right decision” 🫣 He’s now considering cutting NI for small businesses ✂️

3. Replacing Council Tax 🏡 Burnham has blasted the current Council Tax system as "highly regressive" 📉 Right now, the amount of Council Tax you pay is based on your home value in 1991. Instead, he wants a Land Value Tax - an annual tax on the market value of your land.
