She's obsessed with my husband and today I finally put a stop to it... 😡 His so called work wife had been circling for months and thought showing up at my front door with coffee for my man was perfectly acceptable. By the time she left she was wearing every single drop of it and had absolutely no idea what was coming next. ☕💔⚖️ Would you have kept your cool… or done exactly what I did?

A waiter walks up to the table with the check. The woman barely looks at it and says, “Oh, I don’t pay. I promote. I’m an influencer.” The waiter pauses, thinking she’s joking, but she doubles down; “I’m not like a normal person, I don’t pay for meals.” The waiter calmly replies, “That’s not how it works here, you still need to pay.”
There’s a difference between real brand partnerships and entitlement. Promotion only works when both sides agree to it beforehand; not as a surprise at the end of a meal. Expecting free service just because of a title undermines the value of everyone else’s work.
Do you think businesses should ever accept “exposure” as payment, or should this kind of expectation be shut down completely?

@PutneyFleur And that would be a lie, we all know the NHS and Labour are massaging the waiting figures.
English

@YvetteCooperMP Well that’s bloody obvious now how do you plan to do it?

@EffieStevenson @sophielouisecc Challenging someone’s grammar after that tweet is a bit rich. 😂
English

@sophielouisecc here she goes again, that fantasy £6k figure which she keeps using hoping no one will notice she's lying. And as an aside, 'aren't not' is not english.

The pensioners aren’t the problem, if you want me as a young person to be more angry at pensioners getting a £500 pay lift on a measly £12k after a life time of work, than those who have never worked a day getting a £6000 boost, earning more in benefits than I do working.
I simply won’t have any part in it. Pensioners aren’t not the problem.
My latest for the @Daily_Express

@annaroseridgway @linmeitalks Bullshit. You’re talking out of your arse. Get the work shy into work and cut benefits.

@0Calamity Blank document, no header, no source data. You’re a barrister? That’s embarrassing. You must be a very poor barrister if you’re presenting this as your evidence.

@Ed_Miliband @MumsnetTowers How dare other people rip off the people of the UK! That’s your job!
English

We will not allow conflict abroad to be an opportunity to rip families off.
My piece for @MumsnetTowers on how we are protecting the British people, including over £50 million to support vulnerable households with heating oil costs 👇

@NatalieFleetMP @reformparty_uk @AndrewHWestern Haven’t you got anything better to do? Like maybe finding those lost Dalmatian puppies?

@NadiaWhittomeMP With your qualifications or lack of how the hell did you become an MP? Failed law degree, just goes to show the poor quality of our politicians.
English

Within just 48 hours of the Tories refusing to sack Nick Timothy for his Islamophobic comments, the far-right is circulating a list of MPs “of foreign descent” trying to “silence” him.
This is what happens when racism is normalised from the top: democratically elected representatives being told that we shouldn't be allowed to make decisions here at all, and even that we should leave the country.
It’s a racist attack on our very democracy. Will Nick and his party condemn it?

English

@ToonDazza @owenjonesjourno Who’s actually paying for all this? Is he being sponsored? If so, who by?
English

@owenjonesjourno I mean, what the actual fuck will you do there?! 😂😂😂

I'm due to fly to Cuba on Thursday as a part of a delegation against this hideous siege, and to report on the consequences.
Acyn@Acyn
CNN: Breaking news. Cuba's electrical grid has suffered a complete and total collapse. This is according to the country's power operator. It's the first nationwide blackout since the US effectively shut off the flow of oil to Cuba

@benonwine Disagree. I think it should go further and show whether the animal was religiously slaughtered or full stun. Can’t leave any loop hole for them to weasel out of.

NEW: I’m delighted to announce that @MayorofLondon is funding a new West London Regional Park with £1.5 million.
This will bring nature closer to people’s homes - connecting 585,000 Londoners within a 30-minute walk, including a 13km route linking parks and waterways.

@carla_denyer Excellent post but surely it should be discussed after a full enquiry into the Pakistani rape gangs and the fact that the majority of our abattoirs are Muslim run and slaughter in opposition to the animal rights bill. How about that first!
