Im really getting sick of this guy. He just make things up about trads so he can make himself feel better about going to a bad parish. Literally the only people I’ve ever heard talk about how capitalism isn’t good are trads. The Novus Ordo boomers are the epitome of wealthy capitalist ghouls who don’t care about the poor. Keep coping moron. Keep creating caricatures to make yourself feel better. I’m done with your garbage writing, and ridiculous insults. You’re in a bad situation because you’re a mediocre writer. Not because you’re choosing poverty to be holy. You’re a knock off Bug Hall who trashes other Catholics for absolutely no reason. Have fun with that.

I truly do not understand why it needs to be this way. I mean, Dorothy Day went to the Latin Mass, too... as did St Francis.. But today the TLM is weirdly and inexplicably associated with a deep fetishization of wealth + strong skepticism of Christ's criticisms of wealth. To even suggest that renunciation of wealth (or a distinterest in it) might merit some consideration in the Christian life will, in some of these circles, elicit a horrified or offended response. They seem to apply many asterisks to any portion of the Christian canon that would point toward even the mildest critiques of wealth-seeking behavior. This leads me to believe that many present-day TLM people have adopted some "extra" ideas that weren't necessarily prevalent amongst the laity in the preconciliar Church. Prior to Vatican II, I'm not sure that it was commonly thought that Catholics have some kind of a moral obligation to get rich. If anything, I'd imagine the majority of Catholics over time thought something much closer to the contrary -- which would be understandable given Christ's teachings on the subject.

@RizomaSchool One of the legit issues with trad caths is they tend to be in these parish and online bubbles where everyone is super smug/comfortable with capitalism and bourgeois comfort.
