Some new friends arrived this morning to Stondon Lower, kindly loaned to us by @letstalkcentral #roadsafety team! A little reminder to all drivers to drive and park safely outside of our school! Keep an eye out for them in the morning!

Today are raising money for @comicrelief The children were invited to come to school as a super hero or someone they see as a hero! The Avengers have taken over Stondon but we also have doctors, nurses, paramedics and even Grandad John! #ComicRelief2022 #notallheroeswearcapes

Thank you to everyone who cleared out their wardrobes over the weekend 👕👚👗👖and dropped their donations at school this morning. A nice little haul for #bags2school which means some fundraising for us 🤑

#WorldBookDay Today at Stondon Lower we were joined by.... Mr Men, Harry Potter, Mary Poppins, Peter Rabbit and even Norman the slug with the silly shell! -We have had some fantastic costumes & taken part in some fun activities throughout the day.

Year 3 off on their first school trip since December 2019! They are traveling back in time to the stone age- and I don't think excited even begins to covers how they feel about it! 🚌 #schooltrip #CelticHarmony

Today we were visited by Sally and Alice from @BedsPoliceED who spoke to the children about how to keep themselves safe online. One of the games lots of our children mentioned today was #Roblox Here is a guide for what parents & carers need to know. #OnlineSafety

🚌It has been a while, but school trips are back!! 🚌 This morning a very excited year 4 headed to the once top-secret home of the Codebreakers @bletchleypark They have just got back in to to school and it sounds like they had a wonderful time ❤️ #schooltrip

'Growth Gilbert' our growth mindset mascot has taken pride of place at the front of school to remind us of the 5 R's which describe things that we need to have to be successful learners! 💛

We would like to say a huge thank you to our wonderful school community for all of your donations this month. The PTA raffle raised an amazing £1580 from the raffle. We raised £433 from our Christmas fundraising day and you donated to The Need Project! Wow, just wow! ❤️

🎵On the last day of term the lost property box gave to me..... 14 jumpers, 1 school cardi, 1 black hoodie, 1 PE tshirt...... and 2 odd gloves!! 🎵 The box will be popped outside the front door this afternoon, please come & have a look to see if they belong to you!

Thank you so much to everyone who has brought in donations for The Need Projects Christmas hampers! 28 selection boxes, 17 Christmas puds and 23 boxes of biscuits have been donated from our families at Stondon & Shillington. Great effort! 🎄
