Didier Fuentes has made the Atlanta Braves’ Opening Day roster and at 20 years old will be part of their bullpen — and he earned it. Fuentes’ numbers this spring: nine innings, no hits, no runs, no walks, 17 strikeouts. He was too good for the Braves to deny and is a huge talent.

@A_Jude I’m particularly glad you mentioned Ken Phelps, undoubtedly the most underrated player in Mariner history. If modern analytics had been around, he would have been regarded as a star. Put up a .913 OPS in 6 seasons in Seattle.

Kyle Seager's on my short list of most underappreciated hitters in M's history, along with the likes of Mike Blowers, Bruce Bochte, Ruppert Jones, Tom Paciorek, Ken Phelps and Leon Roberts.
