That comparison doesn’t really work though. In 1910 the entire country was transitioning from horse and buggy to automobiles, so roads benefited basically everyone nationwide. This is a specialized project for a minority of vehicles that could take up space on already congested highways like I-4 or I-95, all funded by taxpayers. That’s not “anti-progress,” it’s people asking practical questions like cost, congestion, and whether the ROI is worth it. Comparing a dedicated EV lane in one state to the creation of the entire American highway system is a massive stretch.

@Stone_Integrity @MarioNawfal As a Floridian in 1910, my first thought is…how much is this gonna cost us? Because not everyone drives horseless carriages. Heck the percentage is really low, so why are we paving all of these roads and talking about highways?

🇺🇸 Florida is putting wireless EV chargers inside the highway itself. Drive over it, get charged, no more anxiety issues. If this scales nationally, the last real argument against EVs just disappears.
