When they did it for call to bar and that young lawyer fought, everybody understood that rules are stupid sometimes. All of a sudden, everybody is vexing bc of natural hair. If that’s not anti blackness and sycophancy, idk what is. That’s why it’s important to teach law with sociology, criminology and philosophy.

So I decided to read about the EU’s partnership with Nigeria and saw this. “Promoting the reintegration of former combatants, including Boko Haram associates” I’m sorry what????

We had an American woman walk into Ghana and propose a rice project. The government handed her $20 million in loans and guarantees. She bought a $1.1 million house, a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, a Jaguar, and two Mercedes. Not a single grain of rice was ever grown. A US court gave her 15 years. The Ghanaian Finance Minister who approved the deal got 4 years. He was later pardoned. Then reappointed as SSNIT Board Chairman. Jesus Christ 💔😭

And the fact that law school has rules doesn’t mean it cannot be questioned. Law is not absolute. Law school is not god. If something is played out, or people think it’s not making sense, they’re well within their right to question it. Even as a lawyer, what sort of example are you setting asking people to shut up just because, and speaking so condescendingly??🥴

The gumption of you to attack someone so passionately over something that not only are they unfamiliar with, is actually very questionable in the real sense of it is crazy. You can give context without being a dick about it, and even then, it’s still a valid concern. I mean, we wear colonial garb even after the colonizers have done away with it. Vestige of antiblackness, down to law dinners sef

Asking her to shut up is uncouth and unnecessary. If you have contrary opinions due to your being privy to the dictates of the profession, you can express that in a polished manner. Reducing this discourse to “agenda” is less than intelligent. It’s a longstanding argument and sentiment that legal practice is Nigeria is one of the strongest vestiges of colonialism and anti black sentiment. If you cannot question something as innocuous as wearing the hair that grows out of your head naturally, then what else can you question?? What’s the point of all that critical thinking?
‘Layomi Azeez@MakanakiBrand

Shut up please! Shut up, get informed before spewing rubbish in the name of agenda. -Did she tell you how her hair was? It was literally let lose (unpacked, like an afro) all over the place. - She was a group leader, what example is she setting for her group members? - The legal profession has rules, you can’t let your hair lose when going to court and the same discipline is instilled in the Nigerian Law school. - The head of the disciplinary committee is a respected woman -The lecturer that complained & referred her to the DC(a respected Dr) is also woman. - Law School has rules, you either abide by them or go home.

Re: natural hair conversation. I saw a babe on TikTok say that she got a query for wearing her natural hair to class in law school in Nigeria. That it was termed unprofessional. How’s wearing your own hair as an Afro unprofessional???

Good player IMO— creative passing is quite good and he’s trigger happy. But I’m not sure if potential is what we should be going for at this point, unless we have plans to buy and loan back.

Andrea Berta is currently in Austria with Kerim Alajbegovic's family. The sports data team at Arsenal have identified the 18yo as the strongest correlation to Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and want to lead an early march on him. The club could be prepared to go up to €40m for him.
