We’ve heard from so many that they wish they knew how to articulate to their network why something is racist, and that being able to articulate this would give them confidence to speak out against racism. #StopRaceBasedHate is designed to help with that. #yeg #yyc #alberta #yql

The goal of #StopRaceBasedHate is to educate and empower more people to confidently recognize and speak out against racism, creating a space where those with racist views do not feel comfortable in sharing those views, that works to decrease racist sentiment and incidences.

@StopRaceHate Shamefully, I could no longer live in the racist, homophonic, misogynistic environment in Alberta, and I fled to another province. Thank you for taking on the fight I felt helpless to fight in isolation. You have a warrior in me from here.

#StopRaceBasedHate is a volunteer, anti-racism initiative created by three Alberta-women. We're community members and women of colour, alarmed and disgusted over subtle and overt racism and hate crimes Indigenous, Black and People of Colour experience, and were compelled to act.
