They seriously just came out bragging about & affirming the reason why 2000+ passionate employees were laid off from Epic Games and why V-Buck prices were increased in Fortnite. We really need to start using our voices more in retaliation against these downright stupid financial decisions that impact both the employees & us players. They are lying to our faces saying “we need to pay the bills,” when in reality they’re just wasting money left and right. This isn’t an indie studio, this is a multi-billion dollar gaming corporation. People, this is a game so many of us care about and spend money on. If we want it to continue going down a good direction we NEED to speak up against the decisions of the higher ups. What they’re doing is absolutely pathetic and is hurting the game, the employees and us all in the name of potentially making more money for themselves.

@FNCreate @HYPEX if you could afford it, that would be fine. but i don't think you can afford all this, considering you said the costs of maintaining Fortnite are high and you need more money. and don't forget the layoffs... 🥴

@HYPEX Hey Hypex, 100% of the $1B was paid out to third-party developers. That # doesn't include Epic.

when people open Fortnite *Battle Royale*, they don't want to see those shitty, pointless maps with AI slop and garbage first. that's it.

The future of gaming will not be “defined” by copying another platform and ruining your own game in the process to achieve that. 😭 What Tim Sweeney needs to do is step down. You don’t want to build with us “together.” You’re forcing changes upon this game and having us deal with it despite the majority disagreeing with the decisions you make. If you actually cared, you’d listen to what people truly have to say, but you don’t care. You only fake that you do. You weren’t the one who made this game into the gaming phenomenon that it ended up becoming. It was all your hardworking, creative and talented employees, many of whom you’ve laid off all in the pursuit of making this game into a platform like Roblox. Epic deleted the tweet due to justified backlash against Tim, but I screenshotted it so you can all see how stupid the statement is.

@SB_Game well, for a while it was, since STW, in their opinion, was a huge failure. anyway, with Creative 1.0 there was at least a filter to not see unwanted maps, since the code was needed to play them

Can Tim Sweeney actually stop trying to make this game like Roblox?? He's tried for the past four years and it hasn't worked. When will he get the memo? There's bigger things to focus on instead of making these stupid unnecessary changes like improving Epic's launcher, or UEFN which CONSTANTLY has issues, fixing discovery so it doesn't look like an unmoderated mess, etc. He never learns his lesson. The higher ups of this game always find a way to go one step forward and ten steps back. I'm so sick of it.

The In-Between could also be like an access gate to the Zero Point, where it appears there constantly even if not in physical location. Because we also saw the vault portal to the In-Between in Ch6 at Utopia, and the ZP was in there too, so maybe it's just like an easy interface to it.
