K5 students in Mrs. Kowalski's class enjoyed a classroom makerspace experience! They read Not a Box by Antoinette Portis & then paired up in teams to do some creative work to let people know....It's not a box. They created a robot, spaceship, pirate ship, and even a food truck!

Ilana Setapen, Acting Concertmaster of the @MilwSymphOrch (and mom of one of our kindergarteners), played for students last week in music class!🎼🎻 We are so lucky to have a community full of musicians that share their gifts with our learners! ❤

Our 4th graders have been learning about digital citizenship + being safe online in the library. They're making comics in Pixton to teach younger students how to be good digital citizens. Setting a good example for our younger students with a real-world audience for their work!

Ms. Kraemer's 1st grade made some incredible connections today! Mrs. Kraemer (Ms. K's mom), an expert knitter & quilter, taught them all about it! It connected to making their own quilt in math & collecting mittens for the mitten drive. Thanks for sharing with them, Mrs. Kraemer!

In Nov K4/K5 participated in the Great Bedtime Story Pajama Drive. They collected 216 pairs of pajamas to be donated to the Women's Care Center! Plus they will also get a new book thanks to Scholastic. So wonderful to see our youngest students learn about giving to others!

K4 kids became bakers today to go with their learning of a favorite story, The Little Red Hen. They also dined on raspberries as part of their fresh fruit Fridays. By cooking & sharing meals together they are learning about being helpful, patience, real life skills, + much more!

3rd grade families: Mark your calendars for Dancing with the Stormonth Stars in 2 weeks! Thurs 12/15 @ 5:00pm, our 3rd graders will show off their dancing shoes in the merengue, salsa, & bachata! They've been working so hard learning their dance moves, so we hope you can join us!

Last week before the break, Class Kraemer did a Thanksgiving-themed STEAM challenge:. Students created turkey egg nests that would withstand a drop.🦃 Two out of six eggs didn't break!🥚

3rd graders are embarking on a new learning adventure - Ballroom Dance! Mr. Jaworski & Ms. O'Sullivan, with Ms. Jacqui from Danceworks, are teaching 3 different Latin American dances. They'll show off their skills at "Dancing with the Stormonth Stars" on December 15th at 5 PM!
