Sorry for missing last week’s update, we’ve had a pretty hectic two weeks! We decided to put a pause on the next mission because it just wasn’t up to our standards. We want missions to really be a dynamic showcase of gameplay and art, so we’re taking some time to make sure it achieves that! Don’t worry though, we’ve got a bunch of new indoor spots wrapped up and a new play-park spot in the works too! We also finally added in flow and scoring! Excited to see how this allows for more fast and fluid gameplay, as well as the new dynamics it brings to modes like chase and escape and speed challenges! More info on this update coming soon! Floor is lava, an art gallery, NPCs and much more. It's been a busy week! One of the key things that we're focusing on in this next update and going forwards is channelling the creativity and fun of STORROR into all the missions, challenges and games. We're adding floor is lava as the first of many fun game modes, but expect more soon! Aside from being a fun, rage-inducing game mode, we can't wait to see the multiplayer clips of you guys drop-kicking each other off obstacles to win. The artists have been working away at the new routes and adding a ton of variation, with one of them becoming an art gallery, inspired by barbican. It should hopefully give more unique visuals and interesting gameplay opportunities! We've also got a lot of stuff in the pipeline to improve the feeling of life in the world. We're slowly creating more NPC's and as always continually optimising the level and our systems so we can add more dynamic elements to the world! Aside from that, there's been a bunch of gameplay improvements, bug fixes and much more. It’s Friday! Maybe time to pick up the controller and hang out on SPP? 🎮 Welcome to the weekly dev update! Every Friday we’ll open the door just a little bit to show you what’s happening on the inside. This week we have had some pretty big changes in the council estate area. Dingy lighting, dusty floors and a load of new spots hiding inside what we are calling ‘short cuts.’ We are hoping it will make your experience feel more fluid as you flow through the map whilst also presenting new chase and escape routes to play with your friends.Also… a big swinging hook is on our minds and we are excited to give it a home in the SPP world. It’s been a tricky one to get right but David has been putting in the hours so expect some more updates on that soon!Lastly, our second mission is in progress!
