My father died this morning. Absolutely devastated. A month ago, he was basically fine. The last month, with a horrifically aggressive glioblastoma brain tumour, has been one of the most awful of my life. Our whole family is absolutely reeling.

If you can afford a holiday that’s fine. But for those of us who can’t, taking your kids to the beach for a paddle, or swim in a river is now a luxury we’ve had taken away. It may not sound like much to you but for us it was everything. So thanks a lot Tories for literally taking all the joy out of our lives.
