@ShitpostRock2 Narrative story games have taken such a sharp nose dive in the era of modern gaming. I know it was kind of a niche genre to begin with, but it was awesome back when the stories and character writing was top notch.

Personally, I blame toxic Star Wars fans for The Rise of Skywalker. I've never seen a more rushed attempt to appease a bunch of whiner babies. I can't place all the blame on them bc it's not like they made the movie. But they get 60% of the blame in my eyes.

Miles was introduced as a character to do but a few things. 1. Replace the dead Ultimate Peter Parker 2. Have Obama's face and celebrate the first black President 3. Replace the dead Ultimate Peter Parker. He failed all of these objectives. The modern Miles is known to look how he does in Spiderverse, the only thing to give him mainstream success, and Peter Parker is still the only Spider-Man who matters as evidenced by the fact that Ultimate re-ran with a new Peter Parker and Miles has been reduced to a gimmick character of the week with the likes of Spider-Gwen, Silk, and Spider-Boy. He has no legacy, he has no rogue's gallery, and he doesn't even have a face that he can call his own. He is simply, "The Black One." He will be recast and remade to fit whatever is trending in African American culture at the time and will proceed to have nothing of standing impact outside of half finished projects and failed comic series.
