One of the most interesting and underexplored opportunities in onchain gaming is letting players run businesses within the in-game economy. Skin factories are one such very simple way of doing this. That's why the 7 GLHFers auctions running right now for 1/1 characters, are also skin factories in the upcoming gigaverse game on Abstract. The way it works is very simple: the owner of the ERC721 Special Character NFT on ETH L1, gets claims for ERC1155 skins on Abstract Mainnet. They can choose what they want to do with these skins.. e.g. sell on the market, collect & hoarde so they're ultra exclusive and essentially have a 1/1 skin in the game, OR -- most interesting perhaps -- distribute these skins to in-game guild members as an identifier. Already seeing interesting chatter between the 1/1 holders - potentially syndicating on the skin economy / turning their characters into agents / and more. Sharing the skins for the first 3 characters here. Athena's auction is still currently running and she's the only female skin factory from this batch titled "Masters of the Gigaverse".
