Something good to do in relationships, especially friendships, is to tell someone verbally why it is you decide to be there with them. What parts of them you like that keep you around and makes them uniquely your friend.

Effort means so much more than people realize.

Do I put off doctor appointments and things I should schedule cause it doesn't hurt "that bad" or it's not that big of a deal? Yes. But if my dog has any issues best be damn sure I schedule that shit same day with the authority of a fully confident and not at all nervous adult.

Was checking out, the cashier chatted on the DL about my work and said they appreciated what we do, and to go home and make sure I get some rest... Probably one of the most sincere convos I've had about my work with another person who actually sounded like they meant it...
