@tavrium_ Fern is very much his own person, he was his own person as soon as the brass sword came to life and he experienced the confrontation of Jake favouriting Finn, HOWEVER Finn and Fern still share all the same trauma until the Finn sword as created, until then, they are the same

Fionna and Cake S2 pretty clearly shows he’s his own person though so idk I guess the correct way to look at this is that Finn’s trying to show him he’s not alone or whatever

The resolution with Fern here confuses me because they constantly reiterate he's his own person but it seems here they're saying he's just Finn. Like him and Finn sharing trauma could just be Finn showing he can relate but Finn calls him his "Finn boy" so idk what the intent is
