Sticking around at a terrible agency is like dating someone way beyond the point where you knew it was over. The longer you wait the harder it’s gonna be to leave.

When an agency finally gets the administration everyone is happy it about it takes years to undo the damage that the last guy did.

We don’t pat down someone after we arrest them. We search them incident to arrest. Please make sure you know the difference and don’t cite the wrong kind of search in your report.

I’m strongly warning everyone who works for the NYPD to really consider going elsewhere. I know a lot of you care and you love the city but this administration is looking to put cops in jail.

The test of one’s true character is choosing one of two paths when the pressure is on. Will you have integrity? Or will you fold and betray? Choose carefully for one has momentary relief and the other carries a lifetime of shame.

If you are planning to leave your agency here’s the #1 piece of advice I have for you….do not tell a soul.

If you work for an agency that has a civilian review board just run for the hills an fast.

Be excited for what’s to come knowing that you won’t be able to believe how great it is when it arrives. Stop worrying so much. It’ll come together better than you could have ever imagined. It’s God’s timeline not yours.

Just because someone has a title that says they’re in charge doesn’t mean they’re a leader. If this were the case agencies wouldn’t have high turnover rates.

Top goal for law enforcement officers is to make sure your name never ends up etched into a concrete wall at 5th and Indiana, DC.

What would the world be like if nobody cared? The fact that you may care when nobody else does is what makes you unique. Don’t lose yourself like the others have. The world needs you.

What if the horrible thing that has happened to you at this moment will be the thing that you will look back and say “I didn’t know it at the time but that was the best thing that ever happened to me.”

Picture your family being told that you were killed in the line of duty. Now make sure you do everything necessary to greatly reduce the likelihood of that being your story.
