Climate for Culture investigated the complex of problems that arise for European cultural heritage from climate change. Data, such as the collection of indoor and outdoor climate from historic buildings throughout Europe and a decision support system, will be benefitting STRENCH.

STRENCH focusses on risk analysis and preparedness for climate change induced natural catastrophe that can threaten European cultural heritage. STRENCH predecessor project Climate for Culture is predestined to be capitalised by STRENCH.

The third predecessor project which STRENCH will capitalize, is Interreg Central Europe project HICAPS, standing for: Historical Castle Parks. HICAPS focuses on developing and implementing rejuvenation strategies for historical parks.
