@Stridarian @Short_Strand Why do you call yourself an Irish nationalist? You talk like a 'no more brother wars' unionist. If that's your position, fine, just come out with it.

I believe it's inevitable, so I'd like to secure the best possible terms for Ulster. As much as some of my fellows would like to deny that we're distinct culturally, we are. I don't want an outcome where we're just absorbed, I like our way of life better. I've been an Irish Nationalist my whole life but I'm not anti-Britain and I'm very much proud to say I'm Northern Irish. I think a possibility is each Province can have it's own devolved Government of sorts, where we can represent our own interests in a Parliament situated somewhere other than Dublin. I'd also prefer to have the Golden Harp as the National flag over the Tricolour. We all fought for, built and sustained the British Empire under that flag so it stands to reason that it would acceptable for Unionists.

I'm from the North, an Ulsterman first an foremost and also a Nationalist. Out of curiosity is there any arrangement you would be happy enough with where Ireland is united but outside of the United Kingdom? Personally I'm not going to be happy with being ruled from Dublin either.
