@MLarkinHockey I’m really surprised Detroit is not on your list. Yzerman clearly wasn’t satisfied with the goaltending last year and acquired Mrazek as a band-aid, only to have him get hurt almost immediately. Gibson would surely make them more competitive in the short term. Mrazek+ for Gibson?

One thing I don't understand as being a Ducks fan is why @AnaheimDucks mgmt deliberately lying about their captain's injury. Everybody in the Czech Rep. knows that Gudas is having a knee surgery, yet the Ducks lied about it. I can go on a street in Czech Rep. and ask a grandma...

Also: it is believed Anaheim is eying AHL Toronto assistant coach Rich Clune for a similar role on the Ducks’ bench.
Clune, who played 732 pro games and captained the Marlies, has been a popular member of the organization’s staff since retiring.

@Derek_Lee27 @TheHockeyNews Agreed. Honestly, I would be a bit surprised if Gibson hasn’t inquired about a change of scenery yet. He doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would be fine with taking a reduced role on a rebuilding team. But yes, assuming he hasn’t asked to be moved, then I’m fine keeping him.

@Strikah @TheHockeyNews Of course. I think if that happened, the Ducks would do everything in their power to do Gibson right and get him in an environment where he has a chance to succeed individually and also have a chance at winning the Cup.
