BOFA: GOLD COULD HIT $5,000 IN 2026 Bank of America says gold could reach $5,000/oz in 2026, arguing that the forces behind its recent surge will continue. Strategists led by Michael Widmer say gold is “overbought” but still “underinvested,” with unusual U.S. economic policies providing support. BofA expects gold to average $4,538 next year and points to tight mine supply, low inventories, and uneven demand. The bank also raised its 2026 forecasts for copper, aluminum, silver, and platinum, but says palladium remains oversupplied.
