In 346 patients with resolved LV thrombus, 12% had recurrence over 4.4 years. Cancer history, initial LVT size, and protrusion predicted recurrence, which was linked to higher risks of MI, stroke, HF, and death. Article at: heart.bmj.com/content/early/…

Meta-analysis (50 studies, 44k pts): After acute ischemic stroke, WMHs ↑ risk of recurrent stroke (HR 1.72) + death (HR 1.58); CMBs ↑ recurrent stroke (HR 1.88) + CV death (HR 1.45). Risk rises with lesion burden & distribution. Article available at: ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161/JA…
