@IanDodds_ Continued: The ST22 requires 18 total fasteners (with an equal number in each connected wood member), but the strap itself has 20 fastener holes. If there is any concern, one hole on each side of the strap can remain empty without affecting the listed loads.

@IanDodds_ Hi Ian! The adjacent holes are part of the tested and engineered fastener pattern for the ST22. We design and test our connectors to ensure optimal performance, and this pattern helps achieve the listed load values.
