@AndrewElswickWX @GrumpyOldShaman But also that premise is wrong. The US had 100k ton cargo ships in the 1950s. So a bridge in the 60s absolutely should have been prepared for it. It was badly designed then, not just bad now. We won't solve any problems just making up numbers.

Notice how the Key Bridge had no fenders. This is why fenders are so important. The only type of protection in this case was the foundation itself, which was not big enough to alter to the course of the ship given the concave shape of the hull. Poor design. 1/2

Would y’all consider commissioning someone for art, then giving away the art via patreon rewards, commercial use? Like stickers and such as rewards on patreon. It feels commercial use but its such a grey area bc you are technically “selling it” under the disguise of a gift.
