Throwing #SaintsFC out of the playoff final would disproportionately hurt far too many innocent stakeholders than anyone directly involved. For Middlesbrough to make a public statement as such, while proceedings are now underway, surely prejudices the jury and is unacceptable.

@markwb_88 A £6M fine seems excessive given it was £200k for Leeds, I appreciate the rules were changed a a result of that but let’s see.. Boro desperately trying to make up for their own car crash end to the season..

@grahamsys @marz194_2 I haven’t got a problem taking whatever punishment it is, all teams cheat to a degree don’t they, whether diving for a pen, time wasting, let’s remember it’s ok for teams to research other training grounds if 72 hours before a match so the issue here is doing it 48 hours before.

BREAKING: Middlesbrough say Southampton should not take part in Championship play-off final after being charged with spying ahead of semi-final first leg between clubs.
