If you're stuck in the Bay Area tech rat race / psychosis, make time to travel to other places. Go to a small town in Europe or visit Asia - you'll see that life can be about much more than whether you're IC7 or IC8 or what company you work for. Don't be the person to put on your tombstone: "He got divorced and neglected his kids but at least he made D2 at FAANG"

One of the biggest things I’ve learned in real estate is that the best deals usually make people uncomfortable before they make them wealthy.
Right before a property becomes “obviously” valuable, there’s almost always a moment where it feels risky, aggressive, or slightly out of reach. That’s usually why the opportunity still exists.
By the time everyone agrees it’s a great deal, the price has changed or the asset is gone.
The people who build real wealth in real estate learn how to recognize quality before consensus catches up.
