@faz42 Not getting a very big loan secured against our ground. Barely worth owning a loss making stadium just for that. Plus the council as a significant shareholder & local licensor would see Danson right. Plus he could outbid anyone else and still pay less than he's put into Latics.

@StuartGlover Whelan ran it as a proper company for a single season and made 1 million profit before we were sold. But thats not why they buy them, they buy them as fixed assets to secure loans against.

If Danson hadn't bought us and let us go under, which was the only other option, he'd have had the stadium for a lot less. #wafc

@faz42 Coventry and Wigan are very different. Where is the RoI for the owner with our stadium?

@StuartGlover The biggest example was someone who wanted the stadium mile ashley who under frasers group owns Coventry stadium.

@faz42 No one is buying that stadium without a football club as a tenant...unless you happen to own the only tenant.

@StuartGlover Theres numerous companies that purchase stadiums like the ones talal was pictured with as soon as he bought the club fronted by ian rush or people like mike ashley etc.
