It's been really fun to work on something in this style, even if the increased details kinda tanked my cad programs performance lol. 1/2
@StudentScissors big fan of this stuff. been wanting to get into designing toys like this for a while but dunno what cad program to use. What CAD do you use to design?
its a dead horse, but I still remember when we got our first glimpse of siege prime (silhouette). I was excited to see how they would make what a very normal g1 prime turn into a cool space truck, then it was revealed and was just a g1 prime with some scifi junk slapped on.
@j4kura It boggles my mind that making the design actually make physical sense isn't prioritized more. How are we still getting fugly ahh designs that translate into garbo kibblesome cheaty toys :(
@StudentScissors i got to play with it since my brother had it growing up, it was great. packed with accessories and such a simple transformation for how good both modes look. animated benefited so immensely from the cartoon/toy teams working together, it's criminal that it isn't the standard.
@criticalboot256 That's what I usually did, making a vehicle then "cutting it up" into a robot, but for Nautica and bulkhead I kinda designed both modes simultaneously
Here's another one of my new projects, Nautica. Really happy with this one, designed most of it in one day. As you can see I haven't been brave enough to attempt sculpting the face yet.
