@thehoya GU has not spoken with us about their plans. What we heard directly from admin was “were planning now to re-engage a number of efforts. One of those would be our work to move forward on establishing a reconciliation fund.” We do not believe this signals any tangible step forward

@thehoya This information is misleading. Georgetown admin met with GUSA reps and told them that they plan on establishing a reconciliation fund. The University did not clarify whether this fund would be the original GU272+ referendum or the voluntary fund they proposed last fall.

On June 19th, 1838, Georgetown University sold more than 272 human beings in order to keep the college open. It’s been 182 years and no reparative justice effort has been implemented. It’s been over 400 days and the GU272 referendum has still not been implemented. BUT
