Our community was established in 2020 (@T4UGIS), and by 2023, we had achieved Charity status under the UK Government. Today, @AnnalsofSurgery published our first international study, analyzing data from 21,706 surgical patients across 57 countries. journals.lww.com/annalsofsurger…

We began this community with fewer than 10 individuals three years ago, and now we've expanded to include over 4,500+ members from all corners of the globe. Thank you.

Today we have received the confirmation that our society - The Upper Gastrointestinal Surgical Society (TUGSS) is now a registered charity (approved by the Charity Commission for England and Wales).
