On April 19, the Belt and Road Countries' Diplomatic Envoys Cycling Series (Hefei) & Tour of Chaohu Cycling Open kicked off in spectacular fashion in Hefei. International students from USTC joined the race with energy and determination, bringing passion and competitive spirit to the course. 🚴‍♂️ All USTC riders successfully completed their group-stage races, with standout performances from LUI ZUCCHERELLI DE PAULA, JAVED AKHTER MONDAL, and ELDAR RAVANOV, who claimed the top three positions in their group. 🏆 More than just a race, the event served as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange. 🧧✂️ Learning Chinese New Year the Hands-On Way! ✂️🧧 To help international students better understand Chinese New Year culture and traditions, the International College of USTC organized a lively Chinese Corner event full of creativity and festive spirit. Through hands-on activities such as traditional paper-cutting (窗花剪纸) and Spring Festival couplet rubbing (春联拓印), students explored the meanings behind classic New Year symbols while creating their own festive works. From cutting paper into beautiful patterns to transferring auspicious words onto red paper, cultural learning came alive--vivid, interactive, and full of joy.
