What do you mean Generation Z is generally considered "1997 - 2012" we need to split that in half because there is a very clear difference between those of us who grew up in the 2000s vs the people who grew up in the 2010s due to how drastically technology and society changed.

It's insane to me how quickly everyone is going after phone camera footage of the Super Mario Galaxy movie to make memes & gifs with. Fair Use does not cover what is clearly pirated footage of a movie that is only showing in theaters. This happened with the FNaF2 Movie as well.

Overall, if you enjoyed the Super Mario Bros Movie, you'll enjoy this one too because the things done better (like less licensed music as well as being less intrusive) are balanced out by things done worse (like more obvious underbaked story stuff) to be just barely better.

If these movies are going to be as fast paced and crammed with stuff as they have been then they need to be 2 hours long instead of 1 1/2 because not only do things need time to breath, they need more scenes in general. There's a particular one that's a spoiler that was botched.

While the Super Mario Galaxy Movie was good & fun, it should've been way better and it upsets me that it actively fuels the argument that Mario doesn't have proper stories to tell by having such underbaked and rushed plot points. The RPGs show how to do amazing Mario stories.

I hope this leads to YouTube finally overhauling the ContentID system because while it's rare for companies to get their own stuff taken down from false claims, this shit has been happening to regular content creators for over a decade and has desperately needed a reform.

The craziest thing ever happened on YouTube. La7, an Italian television channel has used footage from Nvidia DLSS 5 Trailer and then sent a copyright strike to every YouTube video that supposedly used “their footage”, including Nvidia themselves. Nvidia’s own DLSS 5 announcement video has now been taken down by La7 as you can see here.

I had tolerated the decision to have licensed songs in the SMB Movie because I liked most of the songs but because it was so successful and the average moviegoer didn't complain about the music, the sequels will likely have licensed songs when they never needed it Hope I'm wrong

Just hit me that I got lucky with the SMB Movie having licensed songs that I already enjoy whereas the SMG Movie and future sequels have a good chance of having licensed songs I don't care about or outright dislike all because the first couldn't just have an orchestral score.

Do I wish they went with an Italian accent? Absolutely because I'm someone who doesn't get tired of hearing the Mario Bros speaking full sentences. But they didn't and it's like the old cartoons which I did grow up with so I'm fine with it and his explanation makes sense.

Imagine the old Mario cartoons but very randomly and rarely Mario will say "Mama Mia" in a completely different accent. That's what he's saying about his Mario voice. They went with him not doing an Italian accent, so it's difficult to make lines like that not sound forced.

Because we're talking about a movie, the story has a much greater importance this time and needs to be good otherwise it's just "cool things on a big screen" Whereas if we get another game with a proper Story Mode, then it's a bonus that doesn't ruin the game if it's not good.

It would legitimately be the Nintendo equivalent of Disney making a movie starring Goofy, Cinderella, Wolverine, Peter Griffin & Darth Vader going up against a Xenomorph. Do you just say "they're all toys" and ignore all previous movies? Risk it feeling like cheap fan service?

I don't think enough people realize that a Smash Bros movie would not be the Nintendo equivalent to an Avengers movie. They're like Disney if the paid IPs were original, so you have to account for radically different IPs. Think Ready Player One but these characters are relevant:
