@sharrond62 It’s Parkrun, no one running stops anyone else from running. If “winning” it is so important to you join a club and enter proper races. As the name says, it’s a run not a race.

@sharrond62 The fact there are people on here who disagree with this is madness. I'm an ultra runner, a good marathon/half marathon runner, finish ahead of the first female regularly in those. If I decide I want to be a woman I shouldn't be allowed to take away a womans first place.

I’ll say this again very slowly for those struggling to read English. I want everyone to do sport, & be welcome, but I want female sports categories, which are affected by biological sex advantages to be sex based categories. Or in the case of fun runs if no element of competition, remove all categories & places. Nothing more nothing less. Not rocket science, not exclusionary, unless you count the over 1000 medals lost in major events so far, won by males in sport for women of course!

@HallisseyC Yeah and I usually “win” my age category but I don’t give a shit if people don’t verify their age. It’s an INDICATION of how well you’ve done, not a prize. And given the level you have run at you should be embarrassed for treating a free, community, local event so seriously.

I was 1st woman at parkrun today, 5th overall. The 2nd woman was 17th overall. It's almost as if men are inherently faster runners than women, almost as if women should run in a separate category that doesn't include any men 🤔 #makeparkrunfairforall #SaveWomensSports

@HallisseyC In actual races that’s probably true. But parkrun is free, open to everyone and as competitive or otherwise as anyone wants it to be. There’s any number of actual open races you can enter either by paying or racing for your club. If it’s free and open to all you take the rules.

So a club can sell its hotel to itself, sell its women’s team to itself, but West Brom are punished, they believe, for legitimate “in-kind” donations to the Albion Foundation, its charity partner that saves lives. Albion also believe the alleged PSR breach is “less than £2m”

@ShamrockRovers The ground looks good but by Jaysus the pitch looks shite. Derry has a shite home pitch and a shite back up option.

@ShamrockRovers Really obvious from the start that we wanted to play with tempo and purpose. We’re so much better when we’re so positive. Subowale 💚💚💚

28 years ago today, the Good Friday Agreement was signed, one of Labour’s proudest achievements. Working in Northern Ireland, I saw first-hand the transformation peace brought to communities. At a time of global instability, it reminds us that peace must be built and protected.

@brianmoore666 Incredible piece of music Brian. Unpopular opinion maybe, but I prefer the Seconds Out version to the actual Selling England album track….

I must admit to a mistake. In my Desert Island Discs I chose In The Cage as a track - it should have been Firth of Fifth.

@Ciaran_O We just gotta win it Ciaran. Remove any moral questions. Still very achievable. Every tie after the split will be tough for each side.
