Dennis Condrey & Randy Rose were a helluva damn tag team when they got together at various times They were at their best in Southeastern in 1981 and their feud with Bob & Brad Armstrong was fierce

Allow me to be the billionth person to tell you this, but watch every single Midnights/RNR Express match. Every single one. Including this one, just shy of 6 minutes, and it’s still excellent. Dennis Condrey is an all-time great and an immense loss.

So sorry to hear about the death of Dennis Condrey. Condrey & Bobby Eaton were the best American tag team of their era and high on the list of greatest tag teams that ever lived. I can't speak highly enough of them, and just how complete of pro wrestlers both were, execution, drama, comedy, heel psychology, making the babyfaces look strong and the element of Jim Cornette's interviews that made them legit big draws in multiple places. While people will talk about the Midnight Express with Eaton, he had a great tag team with Phil Hickerson, and strong team with Randy Rose, Norvell Austin, David Schultz and really he was one of the best tag team wrestlers of all-time. Wishing the best to his family and friends.

If you need a quick peek at how technically proficient and flawless Dennis' work was, this is it. He had one of the best brain busters you'll ever see, one of the best power slams you'll ever see, the strikes are perfect and I'm pretty sure he invented the "skull crushing finale"

Thank you Dennis Midnight Express forever

@BookItGabe 1st ROH show I ever attended! Had to be there for the Midnights back together. Drove up from NC with my girlfriend, our 1st road trip, and now we're married 20+ years. 😄 Do you recall why the Q&A that afternoon was never released? Heard years ago maybe a technical issue?

I love reading stories like this. That is exactly the kind of person Dennis was.

Absolutely shocked to find out that Dennis Condrey has passed away. I was fortunate enough to spend time with him at Wrestlecade 2024. We shared a booth, and I was nervous to talk to him because we had never met before. He was so incredibly easy to talk to, and you can imagine how many stories he had to tell. I told him about how much of a fan of his I was and how I enjoyed all the old NWA workers. At one point I asked him who his favorite workers were and what got him into the business, and he said Jack and Jerry Brisco. I ended up seeing Jerry Brisco, and told him where Dennis was. Dennis really appreciated that alot, and introduced me to Magnum TA. Just a funny little exchange of people who we looked up to, and I learned how we really weren’t very different. Also, we were set up across from Ricky Morton. He said look over at Ricky. Ricky was talking to someone and he told me Ricky was lying and he could tell. I said how do you know? He said “His lips are moving” We stayed in touch after and he watched some of my footage, and he told me he really liked my work alot. He said he was vouching for me to a few people as well. That compliment still means so much to me, because I had stopped wearing the Facepaint for about a year at that point, and I didnt have the confidence in myself that I should have. Dennis had never seen metalhead warhorse, but still found my work enjoyable, and thats the biggest compliment I’ve ever gotten. Someone of his caliber enjoyed my work, and that was the greatest motivation I could have asked for. We would message each other on holidays and check in on each other’s families, shared pictures of kids and grandkids. I was lucky enough to meet his wife at the convention, and they were such a happy couple. Dennis lived a life I could only hope to have, and my heart goes out to him and his family. We met at a time that I needed a positive influence, and I’m so fortunate that it was you Dennis, you will be missed my friend

RIP Dennis Condrey There are many who were closer to Dennis, but few who had the blessings of learning more from him. What a remarkable performer. Much like Ray Stevens, he did it so naturally. Instinct. Talent. "Feel." I remain forever appreciative of the patience he had in dealing with me. Thank you Dennis!

I didn’t see any American Wrestling until nearly 2 years after I was already a Wrestler as it wasn’t shown in the UK. The first US Wrestling I saw was the NWA and on that tape were The Midnight Express comprising of my later tag partner Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey. I only met Dennis a few times but was always in awe of his and the Midnight’s ability. My deepest condolences to Dennis’s family and friends. Rest well.

One of Dennis' last shots was in 2022 at the huge Beckley, West Virginia card put on annually by my old friend Gary Damron. He managed FTR against the American Wolves in a 30 minute tag team main event that tore the house down. That in particular felt very appropriate.
