Shout out to these Husker fans letting the ref know to watch the holding on Pryce! They were acknowledged and got a thumbs up! 🤞#GBR

@BlaseFarms @sanegrain At 72 feet you get into commercial unloads and the price starts to creep up,
English

@BlaseFarms @sanegrain It’s all about ground loading, which is directly affected by Eave height/ grain column. Generally speaking a 10 ring (wide 44”) Bin is pretty safe with minimal dirt work (18”-3’)
48’x10 is 61k bushels
54x10 is 78k bushels
60’x10 is 100k bushels
English

@BlaseFarms @sanegrain Above that height is generally where we get geotechnical exploration involved
English

@FreschlyJon @sanegrain Yeah, the fact that something like that can be fixed blows my mind.

@StutzShane @sanegrain One of the first "big concretes" Transconna Winnipeg 1913....can you believe that. Its an interesting story. They actually righted that thing in one piece. Last I knew it is still standing. So next time you think you really F'd up and cant fix it.....consider this.
English

@sanegrain After that the sidewall gets taller and cost per bushel starts rising. Common misconception that big bins are less expensive.
English

@sanegrain The projects we did in Dresden/Selden required over excavation 15’ deep….The one I built in Norcatur had 60’ deep concrete piles every 3’ - so you’re spending 100’s of thousands just getting the site ready. There’s a sweet spot at 60-100k where it’s relatively ‘cheap’

@BenYetter1 Hutch/ GSI powersweep clutch yoke. Not known for having a long lifespan.
English

@jrbigredfan I couldn’t agree with you more- and thanks for specifying 🤣

@GDryerRepairman These guys are doing research so cross contamination will be critical. The smaller batch size and equipment cost was attractive for their needs. This facility was originally a commercial Feedmill and it was just too big. They had ingredients stuck/ rotting in overhead tanks
English

@StutzShane I have seen them and they intruged me I just haven't ever recommended them in my consulting as I don't have experience with that aspect. Now at a chicken farm where a small amount of cross contamination is it wouldn't worry me but it would be interesting to know how much is left
English

@GDryerRepairman Good question, we’ll find out soon. The paddle tolerances are pretty tight. I’m pretty sure the program flushes medication and small ingredients by pushing more ground corn through the loop after those ingredients are added.
English

@StutzShane How well do the vertical ends clean out on those systems?

@BohlingMatt Felt it in Friend… at first thought it was a nasty gust of wind and then realized it was calm. Stood there thinking I was losing my mind 😂
English

@MaizeingPete All too familiar. There for a while I was keeping them in my desk drawer.
