@Simoche_ @basedharry_ @OliverMyhill @jonathanbuchan The rule says "any" car not "every" or "all" cars that have been overtaken can unlap. Yes technically the race should have still finished under safety car but the rules are under the discretion of the race director. It was controversial I agree but a lot of races have been.

It will be embarrassing for the sport if they overturn the outcome and back count the laps. But less embarrassing than creating rules on the last lap of a season which just makes it a pre scripted soap opera. Terrible day for F1. #F1finale

@LukeSmithF1 Imagine if teams did that in any other sport. Regardless if you think the decision isn't 100% fair. There have been controversial decisions both ways. Merc needs to get on with it.
