The swastika is an ancient symbol dating back over 7,000 to 15,000 years, originating as a sacred mark of good fortune, prosperity, and the sun in Eurasian, Asian, and Native American cultures. The term derives from the Sanskrit svastika, meaning "well-being". It was used by Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism for millennia before its adoption by the Nazi Party in the 20th century.

Mysore Palace; India's only illuminated Royal Structure : Mysore (Mysuru) Palace, specifically refers to one within the old fort. It was mentioned in the first line in terms of grandeur in the world, is located in the historical city of Mysore in Karnataka, India. This unique palace was built by the ruler of Mysore, Krishnarajendra Wadiyar IV, of Wadiyar Dynasty (1399-1950 AD). The foundation stone of Mysore Palace was laid in 1897 AD and its construction work was completed in 1912 AD. It is now one of the most famous tourist attractions in Mysore. Architectural style of the palace is commonly described as Indo-Saracenic, and blends together Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles of architecture. It is a three-storied stone structure, with marble domes and a 145ft five-storied tower. Palace is surrounded by a large garden. Even today, the visitors get stunned in front of its grandeur after seeing the Mysore Palace, which is adorned with the wonderful architecture of South India. The palace is renowned for its music, light show, and vibrant Desersa Celebration. Mysore Palace illuminations were done around 75 years back by putting nearly a lakh incandescent lamps light up this unique centur. It is illuminated on Sundays and public holidays for 45 minutes. During Dasara (Hindu Festival), the Palace is illuminated for 2 hours on the first eight days and for three hours on Vijayadashami day. The sparkling show attracts thousands of visitors outside the Palace, who stand mesmerized by the spectacle. The structure has been illuminated since its opening and has rarely witnessed any malfunction, thanks to the efforts of a bunch of officers who work to ensure proper and faultless illumination. - Subscribe for Weekly Newsletter - archaeo-histories.beehiiv.com/?_gl=1*1dhkanl#archaeohistories
