langdon wouldn’t know this but talking about how you could have lost your wife and kids is probably one of the worst things you could say to a sexual abuse survivor about facing consequences since that’s a manipulation tactic abusers often use to keep their victims quiet

that is not what happened in this scene, he hands him intubation bc an hour ago he was yapping on and on how he need to do more intubations in this rotation and how he kept a journal. he froze, robby noticed and switched to jabadi who he has been defending since the shift started

Her trauma tells her that men in power who hurt her will never be punished or sorry for what they did. This mentality is the only thing that protects her. Having someone who did something minor compared to what else she has experienced actually apologize is traumatic in a way.

even though this is not really a good apology, there are a few points as he’s delivering that where she looks like she might be holding back tears and I wondered if it upset her that of all the men in power who have wronged her he’s the only one to apologise for it at all
