@hytopia doing a major recovery. Along with @Pixelmon, there is no other web3 project that has publically collapsed so spectacularly and then rebounded nearly two years later. Feels good to see this come around. This was one of my WORST crypto/nft bets ever as the top buyer. MY INVESTMENT I invested > $3.5 Million into 100+ NFTs and NFT back Feb-March 2022 and within 6 months had lost 95% of that value. ATH for NFT Worlds hit 19e tail end of bull early 2022 (I was that sucker buying the NFTs all the way from 3e to 12e and the token at .20 to .30c USD) The entire project collapsed shortly after Microsoft banned NFTW from building on Minecraft. This destroyed the entire ecosystem and the assets values imploded. The project made news around the world after the MS ban: wired.com/story/minecraf… $TOPIA (formerly WRLD) which reached .60c collapsed to .005c. NFTW nft floors collapsed from 19e to < .5e. I went in right after Microsoft rugged and doubled down, increasing my position by 35% and snagging a bunch of rare worlds for a fraction of the bull prices. THE SLOW RECOVERY The team kept building and building and building IN PUBLIC through the bear, despite the collapsed token and floors. They pivoted to their OWN game engine (rather than building on minecraft), and launched their own layer 2 gaming chain. TOPIA is now on the verge of launching a full on competitor to minecraft / roblox with the early playable alpha coming early Q1 and likely open betta Q2. The TOPIA (nft) floors were swept to almost 6e and the token is now nearing .10c. If that's not a recovery from near death, I don't know what is. This project stands next to @Pixelmon as a project that was saved from death by a dedicated team that kept building even though the market wrote of the project as dead. Pays to bet on teams who keep building. Pays to bet on teams and NOT projects. Pays to look where other people are afraid to look. WHY I NEVER SOLD We need a good web3 competitor to Roblox and Minecraft with a focus on UGC, and Hytopia is the closest web3 game with a vision to that. I kept my position and doubled down buying the major dip because the team were building and they pivoted through the worst and kept damn building. The difference between the projects that made it through the bear and those that vanished FUTURE OUTLOOK OF @hytopia Good. Very good. My bet here is $TOPIA > $1 USD and the TOPIA world floors > 10e again. When the open beta launches Q1 and the token + nft ecosystem is activated in game, the assets values will fully send hard. I think they have what it takes to get a massive player base coming in from Roblox and Minecraft where NO VALUE IS EARNED FOR YOUR TIME SPENT. Think of it this way: sink in 100 hours, make friends and earn nothing for time spent...OR sink in 100 hours and earn a little or a LOT, while retaining ownership of your time and progress spent in game through owning your assets. When players play and earn, creators will also build to earn too.
