When I first joined X, I studied and redesigned pieces from designers I really looked up to. People called it stealing, I got labeled a rip-off, and some of those same designers blocked me for iterating off of their work. A few months later, all of them quietly unblocked and even followed me… and I never changed my approach. I’m still learning the same way, redesigning out in the open. I must have joined the design community when drama was hot, now it seems like things are healing. We’re all figuring it out together 😂👌
