@screenrant That's incorrect.
There hasn't been any new Star Trek TV show since Enterprise.
Hope that helps.
English

For the first time in nearly a decade, there is no new #StarTrek TV series in production, or even greenlit by Paramount+. 😢

@skyler41786208 @ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort Horray!!!! Your clever retorts got me to cheer!
I'm proud of you for the banter. Most five year olds would have made more than one grammatical error. Cheers for you!
...pathetic 😅
English

That would require something called “character development” and this film only cares to develop the next Nintendo reference
EdwardSabaVO@EdwardSabaVO
SPOILERS, but it’s a very minor one I hate how they set up Toad being jealous of Yoshi being included in the friend group and it’s literally forgotten later on #TheSuperMarioGalaxyMovie
English

@skyler41786208 @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort Bro, what the fuck are you even talking about? 😅 Past your bedtime kid? Lol
This is really scraping the bottom of the barrel. I watch films of all genres. I just dont cheer because I'm not a fucking child. 😅
But go on... continue your little tantrum kid.
English

@SubstancePeter @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort "I watch adult stuff. Yeah I watch shows where people have sex that makes me mature!" That your thought process bud? Cause that doesn't make you mature at all, you just wish you were in the cuck chair.
English

And yet the cretins of the internet will still try to convince you that the Mario Galaxy movie is the worst movie ever made.
It's laughable.
Culture Crave 🍿@CultureCrave
‘The Super Mario Galaxy Movie’ has grossed $372M globally in its first 5 days 💰 Production budget was $110M
English

@skyler41786208 @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort Bitch, what do think this entire thread has been about?
Now run along. Put on your Disney space superhero slop and cheer for the flashing lights like the child you are.
Cheering at a movie... lol... biggest self-own I've seen in a while.
English

@SubstancePeter @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort Oh boo hoo, I actually enjoy the things I watch. If you're the type to judge how someone is over a movie then you're genuinely a sad idiot.
English

@SubstancePeter @ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort Whoa man why you gotta show a pic of how ugly you look?
English

@skyler41786208 @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort You're an adult who cheers at movies. 😅😅😅 Yes you are a toddler. You should heed your own advice and grow up.
English

@SubstancePeter @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort Ah yes, because cheering for something you enjoy is considered being a toddler. Grow the fuck up, human beings do that all the time and if you think that way you're just a sad and pathetic man.
English

@CameronTheClown @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort I understand your point. It's valid. The movie's biggest fault is cramming too much in and not letting beats breathe. I was honestly surprised that they jumped straight to the Galaxy series for the sequel.
...just wait for the online discourse when the Zelda movie comes out 😅
English

@SubstancePeter @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort I think you may be creating some arbitrary extremes here. I'm not saying you have to radically reinvent Mario, but there are so many worlds, and characters, and games to build from, that they probably could have tried much harder to build a more interesting story from that.
English

@CameronTheClown @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort The Lego movies were quite fun yes. I was pleasantly surprised. But Lego had so little lore that the material was a sandbox creatively. Mario still has to adhere to rules (silly ones, yes) of the games. When you deviate too much you end up with the 90s Mario Bros movie.
English

@SubstancePeter @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort Also, you don't need a lot of "lore" to make a good story. Lord and Miller made a great movie based on Legos.
English

@SubstancePeter @papaG62471341 @khaliltooshort It’s literally a fundamental part of storytelling. Giving this movie a pass for ignoring character development is ridiculous and shows an utter lack or respect for art of any form
English

@CameronTheClown @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort And I thought the story was fine. You didn't. That's fine. Mario as an IP is not exactly a deep well of lore. Some films you can just turn your brain off any enjoy.
God knows how Jurassic Park continues to make money but it does.
English

@SubstancePeter @DanLippers83781 @khaliltooshort Again, there's a wide gap between "we want a good story" vs "WE WANT CITIZEN KANE LEVEL STORYTELLING". Asking for a good story is not asking for The Godfather lol
English

@skyler41786208 @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort Man-children who cheer during movies when their favorite super hero does a thing is next of kin to being a toddler.
English

@SubstancePeter @ToonsyTheToon @khaliltooshort He says when most are rated PG-13 and not targeted to toddlers
English

@dinkelmut @khaliltooshort And those moments you described, I did enjoy.
English

@SubstancePeter @khaliltooshort Who said deep character development?
The example is literally toad being jealous.
And the movie has multiple little moments like this that are not picked up later.
If a few of these were followed through we could have had a couple of nice moments that resemble actual storytelling
English

@skyler41786208 @ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort One can acknowledge mediocrity and still find enjoyment. 😉
Like then entire MCU. Mediocre cartoon slop that's still enjoyable to watch.
English

@SubstancePeter @ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort You're literally excusing it right now, do you not realize your IQ is below freezing?
English

@ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort One can glean joy from mediocrity sir.
English

@SubstancePeter @khaliltooshort "Im not excusing it"
*continues to excuse more of it*
English

@SubstancePeter @khaliltooshort I said you were shifting the goal post because he never asked for deep character development, you acted like he did.
If you liked it is fine, but don't act like someone was expecting a really deep story just because they mentioned lack of character development.
English

@ISPYYOUnljn32 @khaliltooshort Im not excusing it. Mediocre and even terrible shlock movie have their enjoyment and charm.
English

@SubstancePeter @khaliltooshort Y'all will do anything to excuse mediocrity LMFAO
